Personal Statement
I would be an excellent candidate to be a college athlete because of my many favorable qualities.
Throughout my childhood, I went through some tough times, but I've used my struggles to my advantage and bettered my attitude, work ethic, and sportsmanship in everything I do. I will continue to strive to succeed throughout my life as a student and athlete.
I am a junior in high school and I have been on the starting line up for the Maplewood Varsity girls volleyball team for three years. I have had a lot of experience from playing club volleyball as well in the OVR region. I have also won many personal awards in volleyball for my high school career. I made first team All-Region, first team All-District, and first team All-State and region player of the year. Also, I have helped lead my team to two District 10 Championships and went on to win the State Championship.
On the academic side, I am very good with keeping up with my grades; during the off season as well as during the multiple sports I play. I am a part of National Honor Society, along with others in my class that have outstanding academics and leadership skills.
I am a very versatile player and if I am chosen to be a part of the team I will bring a great attitude, a hard work ethic, and will work to share these qualities with everyone around me.
