LeeAnn Baker '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since 6th grade when I started playing Club Volleyball and Middle School Volleyball. My Dad got me interested because it is a sport he played for many years in California. I enjoy the friendships that I have built with my teammates through the years, and I love to spend time off the court with them. I enjoy the outdoors and have begun to develop an interest in beach/grass tournaments also. I have been told by my coach that "I'm the glue that holds the team together and have a way of bringing out the best in my teammates." It's what my dad calls the 'intangibles." I look forward to continuing to play volleyball in college and hope to get a scholarship to help with some costs. I play starting opposite for my Varsity High School team and have been the starting setter for my club teams through the years. My goal is to become a pro beach volleyball player and play with some of the top notch players including my role models Kerri Walsh and Misty May.
