To begin, volleyball has been an influence on my life since middle school. I admired my brother playing when he was in high school and craved to try the sport. I missed my physical form in 7th grade for volleyball which led me to become a visual learner for the game. Watching our school play, watching college games and learning fundamentals. When the opportunity came around again in 8th grade, I was on top of it. Overall I can look and say that volleyball has taught me leadership, management, strategy, and a growth mindset. These characteristics helped me not only on the volleyball court with my teammates but also in the classroom with my peers. My aspirations and goals for college are to make my actions heard on and off the court. For on the court, I don't want to go through the motions. I want to support my team to win because we were the stronger, more intelligent players who outworked the opposing team. For off the court, I want to stay connected with my college and all it has to offer along with my studies. I will make the ideal candidate for your team because I not only strive for competition and hard work, but I stay poised and under control when I balance both. However, what makes me different from other recruits? I don't wait for success to come to me, I get up, go after and work for my future.
