I am a current sophomore at Widener University majoring in Business Management and Administration as well as a libero/defensive specialist on the Women's Volleyball Team. I am looking to transfer because Widener is just not the right fit for me anymore. As a transfer I am looking to continue majoring in Business Management and administration. A few reasons why I am a good candidate for your team is because I am very outgoing and energetic especially in games or practices. I am one of those players who is always cheering on my teammates loudly and celebrating every play! I am also a player who will throw my body into a chair or bleacher if it means I am able to save the ball. I've done it many times and I did it in a 2018 tournament at the Philadelphia convention center. I turned the other way and ran towards the chairs to save the ball and I ended up passing it. My body landed on top of the chair injuring my sternum but it was definitely worth it since it was the last point and that is just who I am as a passer!I ended up having to go to the hospital because of the injury. If I had to do it over again I would still run into the chair if it meant I had to save the ball. I believe what sets me apart from other recruits is that I know the student part comes first since I have already been in college and coming in as a transfer. I meet with an academic coach every two weeks and I make sure to go to my professors office hours when I feel I may be struggling or even check in with them when I am succeeding to make sure I am staying on track and ask what I can keep doing correctly or what can I improve on. Personality wise I am very coachable and I love to learn what I can do differently! I am someone who is very kind and always makes sure to have a positive attitude even when I may get frustrated at myself or in a game because I have learned that when one person's attitude is not right, it messes the whole teams attitude and causes tension. I would love for you to look at me as a possible transfer for your team!
