Hi! My name is Jordan and I am currently a 16-year-old libero. I have many dreams in life, but my top goal is to play volleyball in college. Something that makes me a good candidate for your team is that I am a motivator. There is not one second where I am on the court, and I am not talking or cheering on my teammates. This quality then brings me to my character. Something that makes me unique character wise is that I am very supportive of everyone.
During my freshmen year of high school, I was the starting setter on the JV team playing all around as well as being a ds on varsity that year. I then moved up to full varsity in my sophomore year, playing as a DS and backup setter. That year, a fully new coaching staff allowed me to experiment with different positions and get a different perspective of the game. My Junior year, I played starting varsity Libero for the first half of the season, and then transitioned into the starting varsity setter because of an injury my teammate sustained. My junior year, I accumulated 30 aces, 62 digs and 477 assists on the season, as well as being a team capitan.
Something that makes me different from other recruits academic wise is I go to an all-girls high school! I do have to say, being on a sports team (I row and play volleyball as well as play lacrosse (club)) in an all-girls school is a lot different from being on a sports team at a co-educational institution. This reason is that, in my opinion, you can become closer to your team at an all-girls high school because there is not that feeling of competition to be better than the boy's team. Also, something that makes me different athletics wise is that I have played many different sports all entailing different things. I have played a multitude of various sports in my life, and all together they only have one requirement in common, which is to be a good teammate.
Well now you know a bit about me, and I can tell you for sure that my story is nowhere close to being over just yet!
