Helen Barthe '21 Recruiting Profile

Just finished up our regular season at Cardinal Newman.  I was selected as a Captain for the second year.  We secured the region title and won the three tournaments  we participated in during October.  Helped my teammates in Myrtle Beach to secure the SCISA Class  3A Upper State on  Friday, October 23 .   Victory in the State Championship.  Proud to have helped my team secure the first state volleyball win since 1997.  What a great way to end my high school journey.    I am a  versatile all-around player, primarily have focused on my  defensive skills this high school season,  filling the  outside hitter role  when  the coach needs me.  I have a great attitude and work ethic. I am quick, strong, and have high endurance on and off the court. I am a natural leader and I can quickly read the court and the opposing team. 

Continuing to balance my heavy course load (3 ap classes this semester), with volleyball and working part-time.  Finished my first semester with all A's. 

I am undecided in my major, three of my interests are chemistry, engineering and  business. 

I have completed many of my college applications and look forward to all the future holds.  I have a great sense of fun and strive to motivate those around me.
