Alexa Rogers '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Alexa Rogers but everyone calls me Lexi.  I am a  Junior at Byrnes High School and am a starting, six rotation player.  I am one of our team's captains and one of the primary leaders on the court.  I play travel volleyball for Upward Stars and will be completing on 17 Helle this season.  Recently, my team placed 3rd at AAU's and I was recognized as an All-American.  When I am on the court, I work hard to be the best teammate I can be.  I encourage my teammates but believe it is important we hold each other accountable.   I am extremely competitive, have high expectations of myself, and often put in extra work outside of my team practices to challenge myself and improve my skill set.  

I am an above average student who works diligently to maintain a high GPA while excelling in honors level classes.  I hope to graduate high school at the top of my class.   Outside of volleyball, I enjoy spending time with my older brother, parents, and friends.  I am active in my youth group and volunteer with a homeless ministry, a food bank through my church, and with a local dog rescue.  I would describe myself as hard working, competitive, and committed to my goals. I am excited to play volleyball at the collegiate level and am interested in a career in criminal justice.  I want to attend a college and play for a program where I feel at home and would love for my teammates and coaches to feel like extended family.
