Brooke Medders '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a varsity player, starting at the Libero position for our National Coach of the year, Alexis Glover, on our state’s 4A Championship Team at Wando High School in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. I am proud to say that our high school volleyball team, the Wando Warriors, are South Carolina’s 4A State Champions in 2015. I am proud to say that I was #1 in the state for digs with 553. My club team, The Carolina Islanders 15 Elite won the national bid to attend the USAV Girls Junior National Championship in New Orleans in 2015, where we placed third in Gold. This year I was one of the few 16 year olds selected to play up on our club’s Carolina Islanders 17 Elite team.

My dream is to play at the collegiate level upon graduating from high school in 2018. I want to play on a winning team where I can contribute to the team physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am a dedicated player and put my coaches and team first!

I try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates to be their best on and off of the court. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and I am enrolled in Honors classes at Wando High School. I would like to attend a college where I can excel both academically and athletically. I am open to all possibilities and want to ultimately find the right college where I can play at the highest level of competition.
