2022 Spotlight
2021 Spotlight Hi, my name is Faith Hopgood, I'm currently a middle at Gallatin High School. One of my main goals is to maintain and 3.8 GPA or higher through my senior year and onto my senior year of college. Another goal is to always improve from my mistakes and try to keep a positive attitude no matter the situation. An aspiration of mine is growth because it always helps you as a person and maybe it'll rub off on others. I started volleyball in 8th grade and over the years it has increased the desire to play at a high level in college.
I am interested in Exercise Science/PhysicalTherapist because I'm always around my trainer at school and its something I felt connected to. Sports training is genuinely where I want to be because its still the sports environment that I don't want to get away from. I've learned that you can build a trainer and player friendship which helps when doing the job because you then learn more about what their injuries are and what they need taken care of. Building trust with your students can lead to good recoveries and that's what is most important to me.
I'm an outgoing person, I love to have fun when its the appropriate time. I have passion for volleyball and I'm willing to give 110% even if it's out of my comfort position. I've always been told I'm a very good listener when it comes to directions and I pay attention well to details and put them into play. Something that makes me different is that I am a leader, I want my teammates to feel that they can come talk to me if needed. I'm always that one player cheering during games and getting teammates to join in because I love that type of environment. Excitement is the key.
