Avery Hilliard '16 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Avery Hilliard. I attend Ridgeway High School. I am currently in the IB program. It is a very rigorous program and it prepares you for college. Along with that I play volleyball for my school and I play club for Memphis Metro. Admist all that I do I prioritize. I balance out what all I have to do. I manage to balance a 4.0 gpa and I keep up with my studies. I take volleyball very seriously! I love it with a passion! I know if I set my mind to whatever is thrown my way I can do it. My favorite quote is a lyric from Kelly Clarkson's song "Stronger". It states, " What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." That's my motto and I am sticking to it. In college I know it won't be easy, but I know I will be able to handle it. I aspire to play for the US Olympic team and with good work ethic, determination, endeavor, and a positive attitude I can get there. If that does not work out I do not intend to give up on sports. I would like to be a sports commentator. I love sports and to be able to discuss it would be great! My cousin Gabrielle even told me she could see me as one! I am going to stick with sports as long as I can!
