Kylie Jenkins '13 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Kylie Jenkins, I am a Senior at Wylie High School, Abilene, TX. Im approximately 5'11" and weigh 140. I am also very active in basketball, but my ultimate goal is to play college volleyball. I love the game more than any sport! In my 7th grade year, my parents were approached by the High School volleyball coaches and encouraged to take me to the next level and play club ball, which I did, and grew from there. Playing on Varsity as a Freshman, and improving to a starter by the time we reached the Area playoffs and advancing to Regional Finals,definitely added more confidence to my game. My Sophomore year I played as a starting middle blocker as our team finished 45-2 on the season, in which the 2nd loss came in the State Tournament semi-final game. It was amazing Also in my Sophomore year I was selected to the All-District team for the 2010-2011 season. As a Junior, my team advanced to the State Finals, which ended our season at a record of 40-7. In that season, I was named to the Bev-Ball Classic All-Tournament team, I was named All-District MVP and was also selected to the 2011-2012 All-State Team. This year as a Senior, WE ARE 3A STATE CHAMPIONS!!!! In this season I was named All Tournament at the Bev Ball Classic, the Wollforth Frenship Invitational, the UIL Region 1 Tournament, and the UIL 3A STATE tournament. I was also named our District's MVP and was selected 1st Team All-STATE. I have always been complimented on my leadership at such a young age, as well as being known as a crunch player and a consistent player. I do not get nervous or shaken easily. I have always been driven by competition and perform my best under pressure. I love that about me! Another strength of mine is that, even though I play Middle, I am very versitile.I can set, pass, and play defense.I do not have a preference on a school, I just want to play as a freshman at the highest level I can, and be an effective player for my team. I am a winner and I vow to give 110% always!!!
