Volleyball has totally redirected my life’s direction. Every time I step into the gym, I make sure that I give 150% effort and put everything into my practicing and game play. I have become fully committed to this sport and put in everything, while of course having fun. Disregarding the fact that I started a bit late, the amount of time I have physically and mentally committed to this sport has made me become an experienced player and a better person. I am a very determined and hard-working player and I try my best to feed off that energy to others around me. In addition, I aim to keep my grades as high as possible. I take my academics very seriously and try my best to dedicate as much time to school and volleyball at the same time. I want to continue to keep this mindset throughout high school so that I can achieve my goal of getting into an academically competitive school while playing high level college volleyball. With that, I also want to be able to attend a college where I can fulfill my dream of becoming a physician. Volleyball has also compelled me to have an interest in promoting the sport around the world, starting with my home Nigeria. One goal of mine has been to go back to help children who have similar goals like mine by giving them the tools they need to succeed. I have been and continued to be inspired by my friends who have fulfilled their dreams with hopes of seeing mine come true. I am eager and looking forward to growing as a player and a person. Volleyball has found a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to see my lifelong dreams become a reality in the future.
