Attending the Dallas Lone Star Classic Volleyball Tournament has been the highlight of this year's Lone Star volleyball season. This was my first season with USA Volleyball. Even though we didn't make it to the gold bracket, that experience has helped me grow as a player and has helped me learn what else I can do on and off the court to improve my volleyball skills. I have been playing in a local volleyball traveling team since 4th grade. At first we struggled, but with each season we improved. We managed to win a few championship trophies. I have learned throughout my years as a volleyball player the value of teamwork and commitment. I consider myself a good team player because I communicate well with my teammates, and I encorage them to keep keep on trying. I have a positive attitude, and I capitalize on my mistakes by learning from them and fixing them the next time around. I am persistent, and I work hard to improve my skills in order to help my team be successful.
My ultimate goal is to play college volleyball. I'm just as driven with academics as I am with athletics. I consistently get good grades. I have gotten honor roll since first grade, and I am part of the GT program. My main position so far is middle hitter/blocker. I've also gotten the chance to play outside hitter. I'm an all around player, and I enjoy every position. I work hard towards my goal by making sure that I'm at every practice and taking advantage of everything my coach says. On the court I am 100% focused. I'm working on my volleyball skills to become a better player so that I can reach my goal to become a college volleyball player. I'm confident that I have what it takes to compete in college volleyball. I'm consistent, and very competitive. I play to win!
