I am 5'6" Libero/Defense Specialist from Kennard High School. Kennard is a 1A school, District 25, Region 4. My volleyball career started in the seventh grade. I truly fell in love with the sport so I decided to play for East Texas Elite Volleyball Club in the eighth and ninth grade. As I started my 10th grade year I played for Texas Pride Volleyball Club. My Junior year I will be playing for Montgomery County Juniors 17 Adidas team. I am so excited for the season to begin.
I received District Volleyball Defensive Player of the Year, and Co-Offensive MVP my freshman year. My tenth-grade year I received First Team All-District Award, and Academic All District. I received Defensive Player of the Season for Texas Pride Volleyball.
As I start my third year on a varsity high school team, I look back on all the good things that have come from volleyball. This sport has given me a place to go to not to think about what is going on and do what I love. Thinking about being able to further my volleyball career in college makes me more passionate for this sport. What I can offer to the team is the promise to always work hard and never give up. I am the first to be on the court and the last to leave. I want to make an impact on every team I serve and to be an example to those after me. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest, would make me happy.
When it comes to choosing what college I would like to commit to, my options are very open. I hope to find a college that fits me best academically and athletically. I want to pursue a major in sports medicine.
