Kaitlyn DeBondt '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kaitlyn DeBondt and I’m a 6 ft Middle Blocker. I’m a multi-sport athlete (volleyball, basketball, and soccer) from the Class of 2026 with a drive to play Volleyball at the next level.

As a young child (5-10 years old), I grew up playing Academy level soccer and occasionally played YMCA volleyball and basketball. I attended a volleyball camp hosted by Club South during my 6^th grade year in 2019 and that’s when I truly became addicted and fell in love with the sport. So much so that I quickly tried out and have had the privilege of playing for Club South in League City, TX for Coach Seghers, Coach Mitchell, and Coach Blake.  They have taught me the value of hard work, fundamentals, teamwork, and discipline to prepare myself for time spent on the court, as well as life off the court. 

Throughout my life of playing sports, I have learned many things about myself and working as a team. Playing multiple sports for both school and AAU/Club has taught me the ability and need for communication, time management, and heart. I have also learned how to persevere and push myself through a team losing streak, a personal slump, or injury. I am both a lead by example and a vocal leader with a positive, motivating influence. Qualities that I plan to bring to any team I’m on, both on and off the court. I conduct myself with honor and respect because I know the way I carry myself reflects not only on myself, but also my family, my team, my coaches, and my school.

I’m currently Class President, in the top 3% of my class at Clear Springs High School while taking AP and Honors classes.  I am interested in the Business/Marketing field but have not decided on a major just yet. Regardless of my chosen major, I will work to succeed to the highest of my ability.  I do know that I want the opportunity and challenge of playing volleyball at whichever school I attend.
