Avery Jauz '21 Recruiting Profile

Playing volleyball at the next level is a goal of mine. In high school, I play DS, RS, and OH. For club, I focus on DS and L.  I not only love the game, I love the work that goes into playing the game well. You can find me lifting, and working on speed and agility, even after the team practice is over. My work ethic is a strength. It is not only evident on the court but in the classroom as well; I carry a 4.3 GPA. I am very coachable and like to do well to please my coaches and teachers. My knowledge of the game is good but I look forward to the opportunity to grow as a player and learn more. My mental game is tough too. Not taking it for granted, I actually work on my mental toughness. It helps, playing varsity for four years and playing up in age in club. I would like to think I excel when the pressure is on and the game is tough. My teammates can depend on me, as I am a consistent player. For my senior year in fall 2020, I look forward to leading our varsity team, as a captain, and helping our younger players grow in confidence so that we can succeed together.
