Alex Weiss '19 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you about my goals for my future. I am dedicated and try my hardest to achieve the goals I set for myself, whether my goals are for school or volleyball. Education is my main priority as of right now, but I have the perfect opportunity to play the sport that I love and can use my ability to play the game of volleyball to assist me in paying for my education. In college I will continue to excel on the court and in the classroom because I have learned what it takes to apply time management and I know how to balance the student-athlete life. I have had the luxury of being surrounded by very great coaching that has taught me to lead by example, knowledge and most importantly lead by being a team player by being positive no matter what. I have been trained as a primary passer and a swing hitter off the pass. I also play all the way around and am confident playing defense in the left back or middle back position.  I work well with others and push everyone to leave everything on the court with no regrets.  When I step on the court, through my positivity and leadership, my teammates play increases. I do not believe in “failure” because failure is what makes you better as long as you get back up and continue to give it your best. I am team captain this year and was recently named MVP for the 2016 season.

I look forward to my future and cant wait for the challenges that life brings me. I am thankful and excited for this opportunity!
