My name is Zoë Garza-Pinales, graduating class of 2020. I would like to thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I started playing volleyball when I was 8 years old. Although I chose not to tryout for my high school team after my freshman year to focus on my GPA, I still have a passion for the sport. I have continued to play club volleyball for the last five seasons and participated in sand volleyball as well. Not only has volleyball shaped the person I am today, but it has helped me build my character of persistence and motivation, as well as given me the chance to create long lasting bonds with teammates. I look forward to an opportunity to be able to continue this experience at the collegiate level.
I am currently taking rigorous AP and PAP classes. I am a member of National Honor Society, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, National Art Honor Society and Health Occupations Students of America. My goal is to attend a university that will help lead me to a path of fulfilling my dreams of pursuing a career in the medical field.
In my free time, I have volunteered in my community by serving meals not only the less fortunate but to our service men, women and their families whom sacrifice so much during the holiday seasons. I also participate in an organization called Con Mi Madre (Mothers and Daughters Raising Expectations) for Latinas.
I am excited to be given the opportunity to be able to change my childhood dream into a reality; an environment of both competitive volleyball and exemplary education. Thank you again, I look forward to hearing from you!
