Catherine Torres '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at St. Anthony Catholic High School in San Antonio, Texas, where I am a member of the National Honor Society, the Varsity Volleyball Team (4yrs), the Varsity Softball Team (4yrs - Outfielder), the Bowling Team and I recently joined our school's Drum Line. This is only my 2nd year setting for our High School Volleyball Team as my previous positions were RS and DS. I have played club volleyball for several years, but last season I played for SA Magic 17's Showcase Team. Not only did our team win a bid to compete at the Girl's Junior National Championship, but my coach, Eddie Trevino taught me skills on becoming our teams 2nd Libero, as well as helping me improve my setting. In the fall of 2017 our Volleyball team won the State Championship through the Texas Christian Athletic League (T-CAL) 3A Volleyball Tournament and in the Spring of 2018 our Softball team won 2nd place at the State Championship through T-CAL where we had also won 1st in the Spring of 2017. I think playing multi-sports has helped me in several aspects of my volleyball career and I know that with the skills I have yet to learn, I could become a better volleyball player.

After I graduate from High School I plan on obtaining a degree in Chemistry then continue to Pharmacy School.
