Hi! My name is Presley Ryan, and I am a Senior at Payson High School. I have been playing volleyball for seven years, and have grown such a love for the sport! I started out playing as a setter. But as I got taller, I found that I would much rather be a hitter and started playing as an outside for club. When I hit high school, they put me as a middle blocker on varsity. It was an interesting transition, but it was great to play at such a high level. That fall when I went back into club, I set a goal to become my high school’s varsity outside hitter. Working hard and pushing myself, I met that goal and was placed on the 5A Region 7 first team. Sophomore club season I made the top travel team and played as a right side hitter. It was a great experience, being able to work on things specifically on the right pin and learn new skills and lessons! I got back on the outside and was named 2022 region Co-MVP for high school, and started as a captain for both my club and high school teams.
Whenever I fail, if that may be having a rough game, to not playing where I believe I can be. I get this fire inside me to go out to the gym and get reps in. This drive I have has pushed me to where I am today, in volleyball and in school. With a 4.0 gpa, I won an All-American Academic Award from 2021's AAU Nationals. Since I've hit high school, I've been taking many CE classes, which has me competing at a high level in the classroom as well on the court!
With my passion for volleyball, I would love to take my abilities to the next level. I want to find the college that is perfect for my future goals in academics and volleyball.
