When I first tried out for the middle school volleyball team I remember thinking "there is no way I'm going to make it." My coach told two other girls and myself that we had made the team and I began to cry. I thought it was silly that I was crying, I had made school teams before like the basketball and track team. I didn't realise then how much I would come to love the game.
That same season my 7th grade year I was chosen to be a starter. I was nervous to have such a major role on my team my very first year playing volleyball. I soon became very comfortable on the court, and since then I have set out to contribute everything I have to helping my team.
Volleyball is definitely the best part of my day. Walking into the gym all of my stress is gone. Volleyball is very serious to me and I can't wait to take it to the next level.
