Eleanor Pillsbury '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi,

 I am Eleanor Pillsbury (Ella) currently a student at Goochland High School in Goochland Virginia.  My goals are to be able to play college volleyball in a setter/hitter/DS position. While attending a school that can help me achieve my dreams of working in the medical field. 

I feel like I could be a good candidate for any college team that values hard-work, integrity, thinking outside the box, positivity, self motivation, goal oriented all while having  a sense of humor.  I am looking for not only a team but a community that I can grow with . 

 I have been playing volleyball for 7 years under many different school scenarios.  I started when attending a private school then joined a home school team once my education changed.  Then finally and currently at a public school. I also enjoy playing with a local travel team where I started in 2021 on the 15U team to move up to the 18U team for 2023 season.  Experiencing all that diversity has made me gain a major love for the setting/ hitting position while growing stronger on the court.

I am in the 3.5-4.0 GPA range as well as and A- B honor roll student. I belong to the Bible Club, YoungLife and Yellow Bracelet Club. I attend a bible study every Friday morning before school starts with a local church.  I also work part-time at Chik-Fil-A.  I enjoy volunteering with the smaller kids every summer for a few weeks teaching them life skills and volleyball skills during camps.
