My volleyball career started five years ago with a lesson at a local volleyball club. I joined that same club four years ago playing as an outside hitter. During my freshman year of high school I had the opportunity to be a starting outside and defensive specialist on the JV team. I was thrilled to be pulled up to the varsity team to play in districts. During my sophomore year, I had the opportunity to be the starting setter on the varsity team. Although I had little to no experience setting, I was thrilled to take on the challenge and soon discovered that I loved the position. I am highly motivated to grow my skills as a setter for the remainder of my club and high school career.
Academically, I maintain high grades and take challenging classes. On the court I am always a supportive teammate, encouraging my team to work hard and push themselves to be better. I am a coachable player and stay focused on the tasks at hand during practice.
My goals are to play at a college that best matches my academic and athletic needs. I want to play in a competitive environment that is going to push me to become better every single day. I am undecided on a major at this time and I am open to any option geographically.
