My name is Taylor Boutin. I started playing volleyball when I was 13. After playing a season of school ball, I wanted to play all the time, that’s when I started club . I started off small with Nansemond Volleyball Club; the next year, I found out my club was being shut down due to coaches leaving. That’s when I started playing for Stonebridge Volleyball Club. We had a great season but it got cut short due to covid-19. When I tried out for Outbreak, I was surrounded in a great environment and I loved it. Being a first year libero has taught me a lot about the game. When I was with NVBC and SVC, I was a right side and was not allowed to play back row. My coach brought the side out of me that I believed was not open to me because I thought I was not good enough to play back row and had no future with volleyball due to my height. I have not been playing volleyball the longest, I have never been a libero before this year, and I am not the tallest, but this year has been the biggest eye opener.
