Catherine Smith '12 Recruiting Profile

I'm Catherine Smith and I'm currently a senior at Richlands High School in Virginia. I have played sports my entire life and volleyball is by far my favorite. Volleyball is truly a team sport and i love working together to achieve goals and ultimately win games. In my opinion, nothing is better than the adrenaline rush you get before, during, and after games. I have great leadership skills and am a very encouraging and positive person. I am a versatile player and am willing to play any position. I have a strong work ethic and have learned well how to budget my time. I am open to all different types colleges - big and small. My family and I are very involved in our church, school, and community. I am a part of many different clubs and hold offices in some of these. Therefore, I stay focused and driven to reach my goals. I am interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy. I am also interested in nutrition.  My ultimate goal is just to be able to carry on my volleyball career past high school and to obtain the skills necessary for a successful profession.
