Rebecca Kjenstad ...Personal Statement
I started competitive sports when I was in 1st grade, and have grown to become the multi-sport athlete I am today. Growing up with three very athletic siblings instilled my driven personality from a very young age. I started club volleyball when I was 13 and I have been hooked on the sport ever since. I started out playing libero for 2 years in club, but my high school needed an outside. So, freshmen year I became an outside hitter. I also played right side my 15s year of club and even set a little. Now I am currently an outside hitter on my club team, but I can say I have experience in almost any position.
Besides sports, I participate in band, choir, and National Honor Society at my school. Balancing school work, my club season, and being a three-sport high school athlete has been tough as times but it has taught me how to persevere through tough times. Right now I currently have a 3.97 accumulative GPA. My favorite subjects are math and science, and I hope to major in something along those lines.
