It would be a dream come true to be a volleyball student athlete in college. I fell in love with volleyball as soon as I started playing, which was in 4th grade through our local Boys and Girls club. To say volleyball is a passion of mine is an understatement! As an outside hitter (OH), I obviously love being able to hit, but I enjoy being a defensive player too. I play all around for both my club and high school teams, and even though I’m an OH, I’m considered as one of my team’s best defenders.
I play for Sudden Impact Volleyball Club's 17 Storm team, and this is my sixth year playing club. I also have four years of beach volleyball experience and play as much as I can with Dakine Volleyball club. Beach is a great way for me to cross train, work on strength and agility, and I love the challenge of working together with my teammate to compete. My beach highlights can be found HERE on my YouTube channel.
Having a positive mindset is very important to me. I’m known to have a smile on my face continuously (not just on the court!), and I do whatever I can to spread that positivity to my teammates. I am extremely self-motivated and hardworking, and I always give 100% during practices and games to continue to improve both individually and as part of my team.
I am known for my consistency and I think that’s a big reason why I rarely came off the court during my high school games, including at State. This year I earned 2nd team all-league (KingCo 4A) for the second year in a row, and my teammates voted me as captain for my senior season next year.
Academics are also very important to me. I’m a strong student enrolled in AP and Honors classes, and I currently have an unweighted 3.8 GPA. I'm not sure what major I want to pursue in college, but I might want to try going into psychology or business.
