Hi my name is Sandra and volleyball became a passion of mine from the moment I first stepped on the court. Coming from a hardworking household, my parents always taught me to work hard towards your goals, to be humble, and to never give up no matter what obstacle comes in my way. My parents have been my biggest aspiration to want to pursue a degree in healthcare in college and to continue my volleyball career after high school.
Like any 16-year-old, I have my dreams and personalities that make me unique. When I am out playing on the court, I am 100% myself. I am go-getter, dedicated, determined, humble, a team player, energetic, easy to get along with, easy to approach to, and a team leader on and off the court. Most of all I am more than willing to learn new things to be able to succeed to the next level of volleyball. I will always strive to be better no matter how little or how big of progress I make. What makes me a great candidate for your team is that no matter what obstacle is thrown at me, I will always find a way by hard work and dedication. I also put all of my effort and dedication in school so later on after college this will benefit me for my career in the future. What makes me different than any other recruit is that I am a versatile player and have played and learned all positions in which I am willing to learn to be able to advance the next level of volleyball.
Academics has been a huge part of my life because I am a strong believer in student then athlete not athlete then student. Volleyball is one of the reasons why I chose to pursue in healthcare. Sports has helped me shape into a better and confident young woman to go after my dreams and goals for my career during and after college. My parents have been my biggest support system throughout volleyball and academics which makes them my biggest aspiration to go pursue my career in athletics and academics.
An opportunity to play collegiate volleyball would be a dream come true not only for myself but for my family as well. It will give me an opportunity to grow as an individual and also get personal experience on what it is to be a collegiate athlete and to fulfill my dream.
