I am an outside/ right side hitter and I have been playing volleyball since the third grade. I played club for 4 years but this year I gave up club to row crew. I made JVC my freshman year and am likely to make varsity for my sophomore year. I play volleyball for Holy Names Academy in the fall and spend all summer training and practicing with local clubs and camps.
I am extremely interested in playing college volleyball because I think it would be a great experience and good way to continue my volleyball career past high school. I love the sport and want to be able to play it at a higher level- and I think being able to play in college would fulfill that wish.
I provide teams with leadership both on and off the court even though I am on the younger side of most my teammates. This can be seen through my coach's recommendations and positions on my teams. I've been nominated captain on almost all my teams and have won awards such as 'most inspirational' and MVP multiple times.
Coaches can take comfort in the fact that I give every play my 100% effort in both practices and games. I remain focused during practice and attempt to get better every time I touch the ball. My family pushes other sports such as crew on to me so during the amount of time I have to play volleyball in the year I give my all in everything concerning the sport.
