I started playing volleyball in fifth grade with my grade school team, coached by my dad. I believe that my dad has helped to create my love for this sport. Starting my first years of volleyball in a hardworking, high standard, fun environment made me want to work hard to become the best. At home, my parents have always held my sisters and I to high standards: good grades in school, working hard at everything we do, being active in our faith, and helping out with household chores. My parents have raised me to be confident, kind, loving, hardworking, accountable, and to never make excuses. On the court I am happy, positive, love going to practice everyday, and am disappointed if practice is let out early or canceled. I appreciate when coaches correct me or give me a "punishment" when I am doing something incorrectly, so that I can use their input to help me improve and to not make that mistake again. I really enjoy being in a team environment where everybody is very close and is working hard to accomplish the shared goal of winning games and playing the best that we possibly can. I am not only passionate and hardworking in volleyball, but in academics as well. I work as hard as possible to earn a 4.0 GPA, while challenging myself with difficult classes (Honors and AP). Since I started volleyball in fifth grade, I have always looked forward to the next level of play and aspired to get there. I am now at the point in my volleyball career where I am working toward my ultimate goal of playing at the collegiate level and making my dreams and aspirations come true.
