Hi, my name is Kiki VandenBrook and I’m a 5’8” DS from Madison, Wisconsin. I am presently a junior attending Edgewood High School. I have played volleyball for six years, and my love for the sport grows every year. I am a versatile volleyball player, who has played every position in the front row and back row for my team when necessary.
I am currently playing for Balance Volleyball Club. This team is a little bit different than a normal club team, where every player is a multi-sport athlete, like myself. Playing with people who have a similar rigorous schedule and competitive spirit helps increase the athleticism and drive on our team. My competitive nature and will to win will help me succeed this season, and through the rest of my volleyball career.
In addition to playing on my high school volleyball team, I am a member of my high school basketball and soccer teams. Being a multi-sport athlete has improved my athletic performance in every area. When I step onto a court or a field, I am not only working to make myself better but also my team. I am a leader on the court, and I work to be the best teammate I can by encouraging everyone around me.
My current GPA is a 3.906/4.00 and I am on High Honor Roll. I am really interested in being a part of a competitive volleyball program while continuing on a challenging educational path. I am looking for the opportunity to pursue a degree in health/education. My long term goal is to be able to help people and provide a safe space for them. Over the course of the last two years I have served over 150 hours in my community. One of my passions is helping people, and I would love to continue giving back for the rest of my life. I am currently in a program called Student of The Year, which is run by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It has kids running their own campaigns and helping raise money for these kids with blood cancer. This has been very impactful for me and helped me help others.
