My name is Josie Logan. I am 5' 11" and about 140lbs. For the last six years I have played year-round volleyball. I begin with school ball in the fall and when that season is over I quickly move on to club ball. During the summer months I continue playing on a summer league, I attend volleyball camps and participate in a summer conditioning program offered through my high school. I have been team captain for nearly every team that I have played on and am always glad to do anything I can for a teammate. "Team" is important to me; everything else is left off of the court except for my love of the game. I encourage my teammates to play their best and always lead by example. I was recognized with an honorable mention for Badger Conference and received the Viking Award for spirit and team leadership in the 2011 season. I hope to continue playing volleyball in college and even after that! I plan to pursue an education that prepares me to work in the medical field, either as a nurse practioner or athletic trainer. This reflects the best of both worlds for me, the ability to help others and my love of athletics. The opportunity to continue playing volleyball in college is as important to me as the school itself. With strong study habits and great time management skills, I am certain I can juggle the demands of classes and playing volleyball. I want to play and will go anywhere that will give me new experiences and allow me to grow as a person and an athlete. Playing as a freshman in the fall of 2013 is my next goal and I know that I will succeed!
