Personal Statement
As the daughter of a high school volleyball coach, I grew up with a volleyball in my hands and developed a strong understanding of the game at an early age. Although I possess a number of skills and physical characteristics that enhance my game (including being left-handed/ambidextrous), I believe some of my greatest strengths are intangible qualities, including my work ethic, court sense, composure, passion and commitment. This commitment is not only evidenced on the court, but widely apparent in my desire and dedication to play on a competitive club team. For the past three years, my family has traveled to Salt Lake City, UT two-to-three times each week -- a round trip journey of 200 miles each trip -- for me to practice, play and compete at Club V Volleyball. Despite late nights and icy roads, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA, taking advanced and college prep classes.
I am very eager to pursue my educational and volleyball goals at the next level and look forward to discussing potential opportunities to find the right fit.
