Mireya Gomez '25 Recruiting Profile

I am from Santa Cruz, California, and not too long ago have started playing water polo. Ever since my friend wanted me to join her for school tryouts I have fallen in love with the sport. Outside of water polo, I swim, go to the beach and hang out with my friends.

As an athlete, I push my limits and try to get better and better every day. During practice, I challenge myself and my teammates and also am a positive teammate, continuously contributing to lifting up my team. I play high school and club water polo, and do swim training. I put all of my effort into every game and practice so I can grow as a player. I would love to further my athletic career in college and create many new friendships through this sport. 

I like to take challenging classes every year and would like to pursue my passion for marine biology or study business. I have been one class ahead in Math and Spanish and hope to receive my Seal of Biliteracy to be able to use my language skills outside of school. I want to receive a great education so I can utilize it for my future accomplishments.
