Amber McKenzie '18 Recruiting Profile

I intend to play water polo at the highest level that I can achieve in college. I am very passionate about this sport. I am the Captain of the U19 Barbados National Water Polo team and we won a Bronze medal at the Caribbean Junior Championships(CARIFTA) in Water Polo in April 2017. I am a starter on my high school varsity team in Connecticut and we came 3rd in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council(NEPSAC) post season tournament last month. I scored 33 goals during our 18 game season and also had 41 assists. I only started playing in October 2015 but I have attended several camps and worked very hard after practice with the boys varsity to improve my game. I learn and adapt quickly and I am very determined to add significant benefit to my teams. I swam competitively for Barbados National team for 7 years and I also swim the 100 yard Breast a Stroke and 200 yard Free Relay on the varsity of my high school team and we were 3rd at New Englands and 4th at Easterns this year.
