Hi, my name is Benjamin Pope and I am a Senior at East Anchorage High School. I am an undefeated 2019 State Champion, with an overall high school record of 69-7 going into my Senior year of competition. Every year, the goals for me on the mat have been the same, to become a High School National Champion, then an NCAA champion, and then the state titles and the tournament wins that are stepping stones towards those goals will come along the way. I travel all across Alaska to train with many different coaches with various styles that are unique to them, and attempt to piece together my own style, which is always evolving and changing. I am a 3.5+ GPA student and my goal is to graduate with over that mark, and attend whatever school can push me towards my goals and believe in me as much as I believe and myself and what I know I am capable of doing, and to be able to call myself a National Champion!
