My name is Arthur Martinez III. I am currently a senior at Thornton High School wrestling in the 5A division. I started wrestling at the age of 12 and fell in love with the sport, I have wrestled every year for club and high school including freestyle every summer.
I feel I would be an asset to any college wrestling program, because I am a highly motivated person and push myself both academically and athletically. My GPA is good and I am currently on the honor roll.
My goals are to place in State this year and to continue my wrestling career throughout college. I feel I can accomplish this through hard work and dedication. I will strive to be the best I can be in every aspect of life both on the mat and off. My aspiration is excel in my my studies. I plan to enroll in a four year program and achieve my goals.
My current senior record is 12-0 at 120 lbs . I am ranked 12th in my weight class. I am looking to wrestle at 125 lbs during college. I have received recognition academically and am currently on The Honor Roll. My sophomore year I received Honorable Mention and my Junior year I was First Team All Conference. I have also been recognized with Academic All-State.
