School hasn’t always come easily for me, but I’ve learned that with hard work, consistency, and the right mindset, I can overcome any challenge. On the other hand, wrestling has always been a place where I feel confident and in control. I started wrestling in 6th grade, and it quickly became more than just a sport — it became something I was truly passionate about. One of my proudest moments was winning the Eastern Connecticut Conference Championship as a freshman. That experience showed me how much is possible when I stay focused and give everything I have.
Wrestling has taught me more than just technique — it’s taught me how to lead, how to stay disciplined, and how to be part of something bigger than myself. My team is like a second family — we call ourselves La Familia — and that name means something. We hold each other accountable, we push each other to improve, and we show up for one another, no matter what. I carry those same values with me in everything I do.
My family has also played a huge role in shaping who I am. My grandparents came to this country looking for a better life, and their sacrifices inspire me to keep pushing forward — on the mat, in the classroom, and in life.
As I look ahead to college, I’m looking for a program that challenges me both athletically and academically. I’m ready to give 100% to a team that values work ethic, loyalty, and growth. I believe I can bring not only skill and toughness, but also leadership, heart, and a strong sense of purpose to any college wrestling room.
