God blessed me with a passion as a combatant while also providing me an opportunity to learn how to overcome adversity which has shaped me into the wrestler and person I am today. In second grade I was told I had a brain tumor. As a child life was a scary experience, not knowing when or if something was going to take a negative turn. As I matured I found peace in my faith and my sport. A week after State my freshman year I had my tumor removed as it started growing. By Gods grace alone no complications whatsoever occurred during the surgery, But that didn’t mean I had a long road for recovery. The next six months would be an arduous rebound with schooling, training, and mental clarity. One year to the day of surgery I qualified for state yet again as a sophomore. The journey was a blessing and I believe because of the resilience of my past I will be a feared opponent in anything I pursue in the future.
