I started wrestling when I was 7 years old. Wrestling has always been fun for me, but I only wrestled during the wrestling season. My Dad, who is a H.S. football coach, thought it was important to participate in several sports. So from the 2nd grade my twin brother and I played football, baseball, ran track and wrestled. My brother and I have had success in wrestling throughout the years because of our athleticism. Although we experienced success we sometimes had difficulty when we wrestled more experienced wrestlers.
After our sophomore year, we made a commitment to becoming a better wrestler and started going to wrestling club practices and scheduling more private sessions . We also entered more out of season tournaments. Some of the tournaments were local and a few were national, such as, Nuway Nationals and War at the Shore. In just one year of club practices and private lessons we’ve experienced tremendous growth. I improved in the County, District, Region, and even placed in the top 16 of my state. I feel with more strength training and more wrestling I feel like I the sky is the limit.
Academically I am a great student as I am always trying my hardest in class because I want to be the best that I can be. I am a member of the National Society of High school Scholars or (NSHSS) and I also applied for the National Honors Society at my school. My dream job is to be a Physician or a Physician‘s Assistant so I plan to major in Pre-Med. Any school that takes a chance on me will get a hard-worker that will do anything that it takes to succeed on the wrestling mat and in the classroom.
