jacob owen '14 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Jacob Owen. I am Senior wrestler at Central Davidson High School. I have been wrestling since the 6th grade and I live for the competition involved in wrestling. I have been a multi-sport athlete since i was in the 3rd grade but wrestling has always been my real passion. My junior year is when i really turned the table wrestling my way through conference and earning my chance to regionals. I finished 4th in regionals losing to the state champion but was able to advance to states where I finished 14th. I am currently ranked 10th in the state at 160 in 3A as a preseason rank. This year I strive to be number 1, and WIN the state tournament!  I have always been in Honors classes and I am currently enrolled in honors classes along with AP Calculus. I am confident in my ability to compete at the highest level and I will work hard to be the best I can be. I am looking for wrestling programs that will fit my academic desires as well as my wrestling development for the next level. My current goals consist of  winning states in high school and hopefully continuing my wrestling career in college! I would love to compete at the varsity Division I level in college and work my way to nationals!  Academically I want to earn an MBA in business finance and start working for a company right out of college, with the intentions of maybe opening up my own accounting firm one day.
