William Wehner '23 Recruiting Profile

William is a rising senior with a strong desire to wrestle at the college level. He has a 3.68 GPA with more than 30 dual enrollment college credits. He placed third in the 2022 VA VISAA State Tournament at 120 lbs.

His is a unique story as a one-man team at Broadwater Academy located on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. As the only wrestler at Broadwater, he spent his high school career training with the public-school team and traveling across the Chesapeake Bay to train with several clubs in VA Beach including the Great Neck Wrestling Club (GNWC). In addition to placing every year he wrestled at the VISAA State Tournament, he placed in the final four at the Spring 2022 Interstate 64 Tournament and beat the 2A VA State Champion C. Bowyer (James River H.S.) 10-5.
