Cordell Johnson '19 Recruiting Profile

I'm a military brat and have moved all over the country. I started wrestling at 6 years old and was taught by coaches from all sides of the country including South Dakota,  Arizona,  Alaska, Louisiana and now currently Virginia. My goal is to attend college with athletic and academic scholarships and to graduate from Poquoson High School in the top 10 of my class.

    I started freshman and sophomore years of high school at Benton High School, while my academics were outstanding, the school was known for football and they neglected their wrestling team to the point of having the football coach, coach the team. After moving to Poquoson, my skill and figure has grown tremendously and I can't wait to finish my senior year strong and win a second team state title for Poquoson.

    When it comes to leading a team, the number one thing that I place above all else is being a servant leader and I believe that it is key to building relationships with your team in order to lead them.
