As a person and athlete I am very adaptable. I was born in Germany, I lived in Bogota, Colombia for three years, and then moved to Loudoun County Virginia. Another big transition I made was from being a homeschooler to attending a D3 high school in 9th grade.
I started wrestling in 7th grade and I have really fell in love the sport. In 9th grade I lost 15 pounds to wrestle in the 170 weight class, finishing my season as 3rd in the district and qualifying for the regional tournament. last season as a sophomore I wrestled 170 again and was a district champion, 3rd in the Region and I qualified for the Virginia State Tournament.
While I did not place at the State tournament it was obvious that I had improved since the previous year and that's what made me feel my season was a success. By my senior year I want to have placed in one of the state tournaments, assuming I improve a little bit more each year.
I want to be the best wrestler I can be before I get to college. I want to have mastered the basics and be able to show my future coaches that I can put the work in and win team points.
