Personal Statement
My Grandfather and Great Uncle were fortunate to play college baseball. My late Great Uncle Frank Haynes played in the college World Series for Texas Pan-American. Through these great men and others that have coached me through travel ball since I was 7 years old have made me passionate about the game of baseball.
I’ve learned baseball is not always easy but through dedication and hard work it is extremely satisfying and fun. I’ve struggled at times but pushed myself to become the player I am today.
My academic goals are to maintain my 4.15 gpa through AP and honors classes and I would like to study pre-med in college and concentrate in either Radiology or sports medicine.
I have an older brother who is non-verbal extremely autistic. His challenges have limited what we’ve been able to do as a family but made us stronger and appreciate the patience it has taught me and recognize the differences in people and how to navigate challenging situations.
I’ve been blessed with a unique ability to pitch and realize that through hard work and dedication this talent can help me fulfill my dream of playing college baseball.
