Daniel Carpenter '18 Recruiting Profile

I would like to go to a school where I will have the best opportunity to play ball.  I believe good study and work habits will help me both on the baseball field and in my career. 

I was a catcher from the age of seven through this past high school season.  Due to a growth spurt taking me from 5'11 to 6'5, and after speaking with my coaches and mentors, I have decided to concentrate on learning to pitch.  I have had some limited pitching experience as I was growing up, but because I was an above average catcher and could block and receive the ball well at a young age, I was almost exclusively used as a catcher.  I spent the majority of this school year working on my pitching mechanics and look forward to my senior year.
