Justin Matsui '21 Recruiting Profile

I thank my parents for introducing me to the game of baseball.  I started paying ball when I was 5yrs old.  I immediately fell in love with the game but quickly realized how difficult it was.  The game challenged me mentally and physically.  The failures I experienced playing the game inspired me to work harder and become the best player I can be.  Because of this I feel the game of baseball has helped me become a better person and student.  I learned early that the harder I worked and prepared the greater my chances for success.  I realized that this philosophy carries over to life and the classroom.

 I am a multi sport student athlete and currently carry a 4.14 gpa.  My goal is to attend a college where I have the opportunity to excel in the classroom and on the ball field.  I am open to all options and am searching for a good fit.  What sets me apart from other athletes is my work ethic and ability to maintain a high GPA while playing 3 sports.  I try to lead by example and play the game with respect and all-out effort.  This along with a coachable mindset will help me make an impact at any school.
