As a young boy, I grew up in the gym, watching my father train professional boxers who were fighting for world championships on ESPN, Showtime, and HBO. Hard work and grit are all I’ve ever known, and I’ve gladly applied those vital attributes towards my love of baseball.
My name is Troy Enamait, and I’m a three-sport varsity athlete (baseball, indoor track, and soccer), a high honors student, and a three-time recipient of the Scholar Athlete Award.
Baseball 2023
In the summer of 2023, I played for the always strong Ellington American Legion program. During that time, I batted .485 with a .576 slugging percentage as a 17u player. On the 19u team, I batted .375 with a .500 slugging percentage while tying for the team lead in doubles on a roster that included two returning college players and five 2023 commits to schools such as Nichols, Keene, Springfield, and Western Connecticut State. I was also selected to play in the statewide Connecticut American Legion showcase game at Central Connecticut State University.
During the spring, I was an everyday starter for Rockville’s varsity baseball team (15-7 record). Throughout the season, I batted lead-off or 3rd in the line-up. I consistently drove the ball, but also ran the bases aggressively, leading the team in runs scored and stolen bases. I am primarily a middle infielder but pride myself on being a versatile teammate who can also play third base, outfield, and pitch.
Indoor Track and Soccer
As an indoor track athlete who competes in the 55m, 4x200m and sprint medley, I enjoy working on my speed in the off season. In 2023, my teammates and I set the Rockville High School record in the 4x200m and sprint medley. In 2024, I received the Coaches Award and was named All-Conference. I am also a 4 year varsity soccer player, named captain as a senior, and a 2023-2024 recipient of the Coaches Award.
Academics
Lastly, I strive to be the hardest worker in whatever I do. I am currently ranked 4th overall in my class of 237 students and scored 1440 on the SAT exam. My immediate goals are to contribute to a successful collegiate baseball program while also competing in the classroom with a challenging curriculum, preferably studying computer science or engineering.
