Personal Statement

My dedication and commitment not only to my game personally, but also to my teammates game is what I take great pride in. I am highly motivated both academically and athletically and work towards becoming a better version of myself each and every day. I spend countless hours during the offseason focusing on ways to make myself a better ball player. I also feel that my leadership abilities set me apart. I focus on leading by example and being a mentor to the younger guys who look up to me. I understand the meaning behind student-athlete, "student" being the first word in the set. Without proper performance in the classroom, betterment on the field is not possible. Work ethic is extremely important to me. I do not just "go through the motions." I play every rep at 100%. If I make a mistake, rather than dwelling on it, I focus on what I can do better next time to make improvements. If I have the opportunity to play for your college program you can count on a leader who will bring a student-athlete mentality and a willingness to put in maximum effort on a daily basis.
