Logan Hoffman '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Logan Hoffman and I’ve been playing baseball since the third grade. One thing that influenced my love of baseball was hearing stories about my Grandpa when he played the game- all the injuries he got, great plays he made, and how he had an opportunity to play in the Minors.  One challenge that I faced and overcame, was that I was born 11 weeks early and had a setback while I was in the intensive care unit.  The doctors told my mom and dad that if I survived, I probably wouldn’t walk.  They never held me back from what I wanted to try to do, so when I was little I tried soccer and tee ball, and have loved both from when I started playing.  Since I started playing, I’ve found that I have a laid-back personality, but I am always aggressive on the field. One obstacle I face every year is keeping my grades up during the season, but I still managed a 3.9 GPA as a three-sport athlete. In high school, I plan to finish every year with a presidential academic’s award, and to graduate with at least a 3.5 GPA. After that, I hope to attend college and work towards getting a major in engineering.
